Old Victoria is located 4 miles south of Rockland MI.   Just follow the signs on M-45.  Our headquarts will be Old Victoria, a restored 1800's mining site which is on Michigan's historical register.  We are promoting primitive tent camping on site, with no electricity or water but portapotties will be on site.  Self-contained RVs are welcome as well as those who want to camp.  You may come in a day or two early if you prefer, just let us know.

On Friday night, weather permitting, we will ride up to Victoria Dam and have a presentation by the Old Victoria Historical Society.

Our Saturday breakfast will be one of the best you ever experienced.   This  fantastic "pannu" (Finnish pancake) and sausage breakfast comes complete with the Old Victoria Historical Society's "famous" cinnamon buns.  They make use wood stoves and oil lamps as there is no electricity on site.   We eat bunk style in one of the restored buildings.  Past attendees agreed that this was one of the "best culinary experiences in a lifetime".

Saturday's ride will head north/north east using local trails as well as the Bill Nicholls trail to the three tresles for our Youper pasty lunch.  After  photos are taken, we head back home to Old Victoria for the evening meal, catered once again by Pam and Peggy.  This will consist of barbequed chicken, slaw, beans, and desert.

Sunday we do not provide breakfast.  We will head west towards the Norwhich Trail.  This is new for us.  We will have lunch enroute.  Then back to Old Victoria to load up our tractors for home and to plan next years ride.

For those who do not want to camp on site, the Aventure Motel and Cafe in Mass City (906) 883-3520 is about 10 miles from Old Victoria.  If there are no reservations available, email us for further instructions.

An interesting side tour is available for the Adventure Copper Mine Tour for a discounted fee.  This really has a nice panoramic view of the countryside. Let us know if you plan to attend so we can let those folks know.

Our  ride will  have stunning fall foliage as well as spectacular scenery, our route will include old railroad sidings, three 100 ft trestles over the very picturesque  Flintsteel and Firesteel rivers, a tractor parade though some of the small communities in our area.   Plus leave your troubles behind and enjoy the uniquenes of Old Victoria and fellow Tractor Ride enthusiasts!

Registration will be  Sep 19, 2008 as well as early morning of Sep 20.  The Tractor Ride will be September 20 & 212008.  We will be settting up the Old Victoria site earlier in the week but primitive camping can be arranged if you plan on coming earlier.

The Wilderness Tractor RIde is a non-profit organization.  We are helped out by our local Michigan/Wisconsin Antique Power Association members.

Thank you for all your patience with the ride info, just seems as though there is not enough time to get everything done.
